Double Page Spread Written

Main headline: A decade of noughtiness
Sub-heading: The top 5 best selling albums of the past 10 years
Introduction: As we leave the noughties behind we take a look back at the albums that lead us through it.

5. A.W.O.L - Armed Nation
Sold 2.7 Million
Released in 2003, this album was originally merely an attempt to combat the war in Iraq, however it later turned into one of the most loved albums of all time. After the release of this album, and their song 'Infection', A.W.O.L were never heard of again, however their album still continues to sell copies world wide.

4.Haze
Sold 3 million
Released in 2006, this was in fact haze's debut album. Although it's not number 1 in our charts, this album broke all previously held records for being the fastest selling debut album of all time. However this came as no shock to the industry as her numerous appearances and performances on shows such as one tree hill and orange county guaranteed her a spot in our charts.

3.The Robsons - Freefall
Sold 3.5 million
Released in 2005, after previously having two albums that barely moved off the shelves it came as a surprise to us to see The Robsons appear in our charts. Yet what we did anticipate was the sudden breakdown of the band as the instant rise to popularity tore them apart. Just 6 months after the release of the album, the band broke up, moving on to try their hand at solo careers.

2. The League - Nightmare
Sold 3.7 million
Released in 2007, this comeback album was a great success for The League. After being apart for almost 10 years its no surprise that they managed to come back with such a strong album. The cover itself is based on lead guitarist, Dave Harrison's, feelings on what it was like to be away from the rest of the guys. He described it as being able to see everything he wanted but not be allowed to interfere with it. We're just glad the band are happy again and continuing to come out with hit after hit.

1. Guy Smith - Burn
Sold 4 million
Released in 2002, although he has been out of the charts for a while, it came as no shock to anyone that Guy Smith would of made his way back in, especially with this album. Burn, Guy's tenth album, was released at the peak of his career, since then he has remained at this summit and it doesn't look like he plans on coming down anytime soon. We hope and expect to see Guy releasing his fifteenth album sometime next year.
